Health First Freelancer

What's possible for you

Happy Monday Reader,

Yesterday I ended up talking to a friend of a friend about freelancing and running my own business. He's thinking about starting a fitness coaching business.

He asked me what my schedule looks like as a freelancer, whether I have more structure or if it's flexible.

I answered that I still pretty much work 5 days a week right now, but I have a lot of day-to-day flexibility. And I work 30 hours a week at most, never "full time."

Of course, that estimate is on the higher end, but people tend not to believe you at first when you say you work less than 25 hours a week but still make a full-time income as a freelancer. 😅

This was his answer:

This little exchange helped me reflect on how far I've come in my business in such a short amount of time.

It wasn't long ago that I thought the same as my new friend here.

But now, a full-time income on part-time hours is just... normal for me.

So is working from home or from a cafe if I want to get out of the house, setting my own schedule, taking time out of my day to go to the chiropractor or do yoga without feeling guilty about it (or without asking anyone's permission), easing into my day without worrying about getting out the door on time, and a dozen other little things that make my life so. much. better.

Healthier too. Lower stress, higher fulfillment, gratitude, and peace. ✌️🌈

This is 100% possible for you too, Reader.

Keep holding the vision. Write out what you want your ideal day to look like as a Health First Freelancer. Imagine yourself in the position of freedom you crave, what you'll do with the time and energy you get back from a 40-hour work week + commute. How you'll prioritize your health every day and work around that priority. Even if it feels totally unrealistic right now.

I believe imagining yourself in the life you want is the first step toward actually getting there. After that, it's about taking small, consistent aligned actions to get you to that vision.

That's where the Health First Freelancer community comes in. You can immerse yourself with other humans who are building their own version of a Health First business and lifestyle, and you can grow alongside them, one step at a time.

You could go it alone, but you'll get there 100x faster and easier with a community around you. 🤗 Which is why I'm excited to announce:

HFF opens its doors for new members this Saturday, 4/19.

I promise you'll be the first to know!

If you have any questions about HFF or freelancing in general, feel free to reply to this email. I'm here for ya.

Other than that, I hope you have a wonderful week!

Endless possibilities ✨,

Amanda

P.S.

You can check out the benefits of the HFF community here. I'll be offering a 45-minute Clarity Call to anyone who joins us when the doors reopen, so that you can get super clear on your personal next steps as a Health First Freelancer. And that's really just the tip of the iceberg! Stay tuned for the HFF grand reopening. 🎉
