Hey there, Reader, â For a couple of weeks, I've been in what you might call a summer slump. đĢ I'm definitely not doing my best work, and while I take my rest very seriously, I can also tell the difference between when I truly need rest, and when I actually need an energy boost. ⥠This slump coincides with the current Mercury retrograde (July 17-August 11), which is certainly no coincidence. (I'm very affected by astrological shifts.) So what am I doing to keep myself going through this slump? EFT tapping! One of my favorite tools for nervous system regulation, rewiring limiting beliefs, and daily wellness all wrapped up in one. On the first day of Mercury Rx, I decided to start a daily tapping challenge through at least August 11, when the retrograde ends and Mercury goes direct. I'm using tapping to gently turn my body and mind back toward feelings like:
Sometimes I follow a guided tapping video on YouTube like this one, (I literally tapped through this quick video just before writing this email, it was great!) And sometimes I go off script and tap on my own through whatever challenge or emotion I'm facing. I've even tapped my way through physical issues like back pain or an upset stomach.
