Health First Freelancer

Purpose 🤝 wellness

Hey there Reader,

As we creep closer and closer to the end of the year (and the beginning of a new one), I find myself taking a closer look at many areas of my life, including my "purpose."

Purpose can seem like a big scary word, but I think it can be a lot simpler than we think.

You might have One Big Purpose in your life, which might be tied to your career, your family, or your artistic endeavors.

But you might also have a "smaller" sense of purpose: to spend time in nature, to show up with kindness and compassion for those around you, or simply to keep evolving into the next version of yourself.

What's extra cool is that having any sense of purpose in your life correlates with overall well-being.

Whatever chronic illness or condition you're dealing with right now, it becomes a lot easier to deal with when you have a purpose -- separate from your health -- that you're working toward. A reason for being the healthiest version of yourself and doing the often difficult, thankless work of getting there.

Or, as I think is the case for most of us, you probably have many purposes in different areas of your life that create the Big Picture.

For me, I've been thinking about:

  • Creating the Health First Freelancer community, coming to you soon in 2025
    • Purpose: to support fellow humans with chronic illness in creating a freelance business that supports their health. Showing that there's a way to live life where you can take care of yourself and have a thriving, profitable career that you love. Ultimately, to help people live a better life. 🙌
  • Working on how I show up for myself and others in relationships
    • Purpose: to learn more about my own patterns and learned behaviors around interpersonal relationships and how I can evolve to call in the most aligned friendships, business relationships, partnership, etc. Ultimately, to create the best community of people in my life. 💖
  • Creating abundance in my life, not just financially but a feeling or a state of being that I always have enough
    • Purpose: to show up in a state/mindset of abundance, no matter what's going on in the world or others' lives around me. This is an energy that benefits both me and my community. Also, I want to travel more. 🏝️

You see what I mean? You could say my "Big Purpose" is to start Health First Freelancer and create this community that benefits others, but that's truly only one part of the purpose tapestry in my life.

For me, it's all interconnected, it all weaves together to become something greater than the individual pieces.

So what about you, Reader?

Going into 2025, what areas of purpose are you focusing on in your life?

What are 1-3 things, that if you focused on them for the next year of your life, would dramatically improve the quality of your life overall?

If you feel like sharing, hit reply and let me know!

Dreaming and scheming 🤩,

Amanda
