Hey there Reader, β Happy Thanksgiving week if you celebrate! π€ I just have a quick story for you this week about how I got a warm lead on a new client... without even trying. For those of you who are actively looking for clients, I hope this serves as a reminder that anyone you connect with can become a referral partner, even if that's not why you connected with them in the first place. So last week I was on a quick catch up call with my friend Nikita, who hosts the Business with Chronic Illness podcast, and coaches women to help them create more intentionality and flow in their business. You might remember I was a guest on the pod a couple months ago. We caught up on business and life (lots of pivots for both of us!) and towards the end of the call, she mentioned a new coaching client she had who is a functional medicine practitioner. π This woman has a client list a mile long -- and yet she's still doing EVERYTHING in her business by herself. It's no wonder she came to Nikita for help. One of the things she's been doing is posting blogs on her website, to educate her current clients and bring new clients in through SEO. But of course, her posts are sporadic because she has too many other responsibilities on her plate. I specialize in SEO-optimized blogs for holistic health providers, and Nikita knows this. I mentioned it in our convo for the podcast, and maybe one of our previous conversations too. So she thought of me. On our call, she goes "so, how are you doing on clients right now?" And I give my usual response these days, which is, "great, but I could have one more, if it's the right fit." So she promises to connect me to her client, and we end the call shortly after. Boom! A warm lead I didn't even ask for. π It can be that easy, Reader, as long as you know what you do, who you do it for, and you share that info with just about everyone you meet. Even if it doesn't seem relevant to that person directly. You never know who they know, and how your services might come up in any old random conversation. β β It happens all the time, Amanda β P.S. After my call with Nikita, I did go and look up this practitioner's website to get a feel for her practice and how I could help. Then I sent a quick follow up email to Nikita, expressing my interest in talking to this practitioner. She affirmed that she would refer me to her client, so now the ball is in her court. I'll let you know if we end up on a discovery call. P.P.S. My newest YouTube video -- "REFUSE to suffer your way to success (do this instead) -- is live in case you haven't seen it yet. I did a lot more fun editing on this video than I've done in the past, so I'd love to know what you think! Oh and as of just now, we are at 410 subscribers! Wow!!!
