Happy Monday Reader, โ It's maybe more of a grateful Monday morning for me, since I just got back to my apartment after 36 hours without power. ๐ Of course, this power outage coincided with a record heatwave here in Wisconsin. ๐ฅ Fortunately, I was able to retreat to a friend's house for a night (thanks Rachel!) and then my mom's house (thanks mom!), who thankfully both had power. And air conditioning. It's tiny tragedies like these that make me so thankful I work for myself from home, on my own schedule. This morning I woke up at my mom's place, chatted with her for a while while we ate breakfast and drank coffee, then headed out to drive back to my apartment. I wanted to leave pretty quickly in the morning, but there wasn't a huge rush. No office to get to, no pressure from my boss or formal work attire to sweat through in the 92-degree heat (God forbid ๐ ). I got back to my apartment, confirmed the electricity was actually back on and blasted my sweet sweet air conditioning. Rescued my fridge and freezer food from the communal fridge that still had power for some reason over the weekend. ๐คทโโ๏ธ And now I'm sitting down at my kitchen table writing to you. It's felt a bit hectic in the last 36 hours, but it actually hasn't been much more than an inconvenience. Even if I still didn't have power, I'd just drive back over to my friend's house and work there for today. Working for myself, and making a full-time income in part-time hours, means that a really stressful situation turned into a mildly stressful situation. And honestly, maybe it didn't stress me out as much because I'm generally a much more chill person since adopting this Health First Freelancer life. ๐ My capacity to handle stress is much higher than it used to be. And that's thanks to creating more space and opportunities for self-care throughout my day, alongside my work. If you want to create a similar lifestyle for yourself, here's your reminder that the Health First Freelancer membership is back at Founding Member pricing of just $39/mo for a limited time. โจ Whether you're a current freelancer who wants to shift to a health-first business model or a total newbie who wants to start their business with the health-first philosophy in mind, this is the community for you. I'm getting to work on some Health First Freelancer Foundations resources that will be dropping in the community in the next month or so. But the $39/mo pricing won't last long before it goes back to the regular $47/mo on July 1st. Besides that, you get all this inside the community:
I don't know about you, but I think that's worth way more than $39/mo. ๐ And if you decide the HFF community isn't for you, you can always cancel anytime. I hope you join us, Reader. You deserve the freedom to take care of your health on your own terms and make a decent income while you do it. That's the magic of being a Health First Freelancer. ๐ช โ
โ As always, if you have any questions, let me know. โ Hope you're staying cool out there ๐ฉต, Amanda โ โ P.S. TL;DR? The HFF membership is still available at $39/mo, but only until July 1st. Become a Health First Freelancer today! -->โ
