Hello Reader, I'm back from a much-needed holiday break. I feel somewhat restored, but at the same time, needing even more rest than I got. 😴 It's the January effect -- we get all excited for the new year and the fresh energy it brings and then... we go back to winter. 😅 So what if you leaned into the slowness of winter rather than trying to push forward with your goals? (If you've been rockin with me for a while, you'll know I'm very against pushing forward toward anything.) You can have your goals and dreams for 2026 in mind as you take this month (and probably February too, let's be honest) to rest deeply, integrate what you learned in 2025, nourish yourself after a few holiday indulgences, and generally take care of yourself while you wait for the Spring Equinox in March -- the "real new year" according to basically every other calendar except the Gregorian one. Basically all of this is to say, if you got a rush of energy from the new year and now you're feeling more like hibernating is the best thing you could imagine, that's okay. Lean into it. Take care of yourself. Rest and reflect. Spring will come sooner than you think, and then you'll be prepared to move forward. 🌷 It's not only acceptable, it's preferred during this time.
